Why do people do what they do? In my economics bachelors I noticed the emphasis on rationality of human behaviour. Although this assumption made economics much easier, I wondered whether some nuance was lacking. To better understand this, I took some courses in psychology. My time studying I was balancing the act of trying to catch the world in models with discovering the nuances of being human. Always with the aim of making the world a little better some day. That is what I still aim for, for instance by giving training about behaviour to policymakers and by doing research into societal challenges.

Applying insights about human behaviour can make our world fit better with how humans are wired.
