Our behavior has an impact on the quality of the environment we live in and contributes to climate change, as we experience it today. We can set goals for ourselves to act more environmentally consciously, but these goals may sometimes conflict with other goals we pursue. How can we activate environmentally conscious goals through interventions? Does this activation potentially lead to the activation of multiple environmentally conscious behaviors? And what role do conflicting goals we pursue play in this process? My research focuses on these questions and aims to develop further insights into interventions that can motivate environmentally conscious behaviors.
