Our social environment plays a key role in making economic decisions and consumer behaviour. One of the worst things that can happen to a person is being excluded. People don't want to be left out, so they follow the trend or behave according to certain standards. Sometimes this leads to people making very wise decisions, but often it can also lead to things turning out completely wrong.
I find it interesting how social needs can influence people's economic decisions.
