There is a considerable body of scientific knowledge about why we behave as we do, and how we make decisions. Scientists also know more and more about the mechanisms in our brain that underlie decision-making. However, knowledge like this is seldom used to address real-world societal issues. This is why my work focuses on applying scientific findings to practice, specifically in the field of poverty and debt relief.
I want the insights from neuroscientific and behavioural studies not only published in academic papers, but to be actually used to improve our society as well.
