As a researcher and advisor, I like to develop practical knowledge and to bring this knowledge where it can be applied. In the development of policies and the execution of laws and regulations, governments make assumptions about how and why citizens and organisations behave. This is inevitable, but these assumptions are not always based on evidence or knowledge, and are not always realistic. By generating and passing on insights and evidence, I aim to contribute to enhancing the quality and effectiveness of policies and their execution.
For me, it's all about interesting the academic world in practice and policy issues, and helping policy makers and practitioners with scientific knowledge.
