EenVandaag: Aren't you asking for trouble with post-payment?

Buying items and paying for them later has long been a popular option online. Payment companies now aim to offer this choice in physical stores as well.

  • How much interest do you pay when using post-payment?
  • Aren’t you asking for trouble with post-payment?
  • How is the control on post-payment enforced?
  • Can debt caused by post-payment be prevented?

Wilco van Dijk, professor of economic psychology at Leiden University, and Yolanda Bieckmann, spokesperson for the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), answer these questions in the article.
